曾拍《大空头》（The Big Short）聚焦美国次贷危机的导演亚当·迈凯（Adam McKay）日前与派拉蒙签约，将导演一部讲述美国前副总统迪克·切尼（Dick Cheney）故事的传记片。而布拉德·皮特的“B计划”制片公司也将继《点球成金》、《大空头》后再次与迈凯合作，制作这部电影。
迪克·切尼号称是美国历史上最有权势的副总统，他也是现任美国副总统彭斯（Mike Pence）的效仿对象。布什当政八年时间里，表面上切尼是美国的二号人物，但实际上小布什总统（George W. Bush）的很多决定，包括阿富汗战争、入侵伊拉克等都是由他定夺的。
